March 22, 2009
The Rockland County Firefighters Pipes And Drums proudly escorted the Pearl River Fire Department, in the Pearl River St Patrick’s Day Parade. It was a beautiful day and we were honored to represent the Firefighters Of Rockland County. Drum Major Charlie Lynch did a fantastic job leading us along the route as well as Pipe Major Dennis Roberts set selections. Kudos to Piping Instructor Clare McClarnon-Steward and Pipers Chris Mullin and Jim Nicol, for the superb job they did tuning up the pipers prior to the parade. We would also like to thank the Hillcrest Fire Department for providing The Color Guard which so honorably lead us during the parade, you all looked great. The RCFF Pipes & Drums are grateful for all the cheers and applause we received throughout the route and your support was very much appreciated by all the members, family and friends of the Band. We hope this is just the beginning of a long standing tradition for the RCFF Pipes And Drums and we hope to see you all again at next years parade !!!
